After a scenic morning on the coast along Sonoma Coast State Beach, we enter Bodega Bay, home of the University of CA Marine Labs, you head inland at mile 12 and say good bye to the coast for the rest of the day. Inland, we ride through coastal hills and agricultural areas until we turn back west toward Hamlet and Tomale Bay. The road to Point Reyes along the bay is fairly flat with only a few rollers to contend with. The route back tracks a touch to Inverness, on the western side of the bay making this a pleasant and fairly easy 47 mile jaunt.
